Lifestyle Pershing and Parmigiani Fleurier Present the new Collection of Chronographs: April, 6th 2009 – The prestigious partnership between Pershing, brand of Ferretti S.p.A., world leader in designing, building and marketing luxury motoryachts, and Parmigiani Fleurier, top Swiss watch manufacturer, was developed in 2008 based on a similar business culture.Lives driven by passion and the ideal of excellence has led the founders of the two companies, Tilli Antonelli and Michel Parmigiani, to build outstanding industrial enterprises in the nautical and watch-making industries. A partnership inspired by the top values of excellence has been possible due to the main values which characterise the two companies, both leaders in their respective sectors: a driving force, innovative impulse, and an ability to be ahead of their time, as well as choosing top quality materials, and a continuous quest for elegance and style.

The new Pershing parmigiani Collection: Pershing Chronographe zero-zero-two

The new Pershing “zero-zero-two” chronograph collection offers the advantage of matching the expectations of the broad public. Its compact size, with a 42 mm diameter, means that it can be worn by gentlemen, whose preferences will tend more to sobriety and classicism, but also by ladies.

Fully redesigned to achieve balanced lines, its case is made from steel, 18 carat white gold or rose gold. Its Calibre Parmigiani PF 334 in-house automatic movement offers chronograph indications (large seconds, 30 minute counter, 12 hour counter) combined with a large date display window. Its push-pieces are made from white or black rubber, depending on the wristlet colour, if the watch is steel; they are made from precious metal if the chronograph model is gold. Its unidirectional rotating bezel, 3-metre base tachometric measurement indicator and its 100 metre water resistance give it the ideal characteristics for a diving watch.

A highly feminine version Pershing “zero-zero-two” chronograph has been custom designed, with a number of alluring original details. In tribute to a more poetic maritime look, its blue mother-of-pearl dial reflects the ocean deeps, which is underlined via the presence of a small stylised octopus placed on the end of the chronograph hand. The small seconds is a starfish that turns to mark the seconds. The brilliance of the aquatic reflections is interpreted by precious diamond and sapphire baguettes set on its bezel.

There is a white Hermes Epsom calfskin strap, with blue stitching, for the mother-of-pearl version; and a steel bracelet or natural rubber strap for the more classic versions of the Pershing “zero-zero-two” chronograph with graphite, amaranth or silver dial.

Pershing Tourbillon 30 second Ajouré
Powerful and elegant, the Pershing collection symbolises the modern vision Parmigiani brings to the art of Haute Horlogerie. Its lines are a bold expression of the sporting spirit that Parmigiani has been developing since the inception of its exclusive partnership with the prestigious Italian yacht manufacturer, a member of the Ferretti Group.

Renowned for the exceptional quality of its manufacturing, the elegance of its interior designs and its innovative marine technology, Italian yacht manufacturer Pershing is the natural choice to partner Parmigiani.

The new Pershing Tourbillon ajouré model represents a striking embodiment of their mutual expertise.

The Pershing Tourbillon ajouré brings together all the aesthetic and technical accomplishments Parmigiani Fleurier has sought to extol. Its movement – a Calibre PF 511 – inspired by the Tourbillon Calibre 500 type movement, is produced in its entirety in Parmigiani Fleurier’s own workshops. It places the accent on technical excellence, technology and aesthetics.

The sober, elegant Tourbillon pays tribute to the virtuosity and skill of the traditional watchmakers qualified to undertake such technically demanding work. Its cage, visible on both sides of the movement, rotates every 30 seconds, giving much greater setting constancy.

The Parmigiani Fleurier Tourbillon’s open movement makes this a rare model with a unique character. The main plate reveals the mechanism wheels and the double barrel. Numerous openings have also been made on the bridges (Barrel Bridge, power Reserve Bridge, intermediate wheel lower bridge and Ratchet Bridge).
Having employed innovative technology to reveal the components of its movement, Parmigiani opted for PVD* colour treatment on the main plate in order to accentuate the true beauty of the open movement and create a kaleidoscope of colours. The treatment is available in a choice of three shades.

A transparent sapphire dial reveals the model’s aesthetic and technical qualities.
With only 40 pieces created in palladium 950, including ten models featuring a bezel set with baguette cut diamonds, the Pershing Tourbillon ajouré model is the result of an audacious and pioneering vision of Haute Horlogerie.
