Marine Solutions Distribution & Services PLC grew out of a passion for the seas shared by members of the Dutta family.
Major General S Dutta VSM, Chairman, has been associated with yachting for more than 50 years and is regarded as a guiding light for yachtsmen in India. Today most of the classes of sailing dinghies raced in India have been introduced and fostered by him. As a member of the Council of the Yachting Association of India and Chairman of Marine Solutions, he is actively committing his considerable experience towards promoting yachting and a healthy love of adventure at sea amongst Indians.
Anju Dutta, Managing Director, has a wealth of experience in sales and marketing and thus spearheads this division at Marine Solutions. Her successful efforts are evident in the company’s solid positive growth curve which has made it the numero uno yacht retail company in India. She aims to push the yacht market in India and take the industry to the next level.
Gautama Dutta, Executive Director, is one of India’s prominent yachtsmen. A national champion, Asian medallist, current world record holder for sailing at the highest altitude, trans-ocean navigator, he has lead an active life at sea. This passion and rich yachting experience brings colour to the businesses of Marine Solutions while his quick thinking and clear cut decision making has helped Marine Solutions evolve and grow on all fronts in a new market like India

THE BUSINESS

Established in 2003, Marine Solutions is India’s first professionally managed company dedicated to the leisure boating industry. The company exclusively represents premier international brands in every category of the boating business in India. Concerns include the elegant Italian models from Ferretti Yachts, Custom Line, Mochi Craft and Pershing of the Ferretti Group, Jeanneau sail and motor yachts from France, the iconic American Sea Ray™ sports boats and sports cruisers, Kawasaki’s Jetski™ personal water crafts, the complete range of leisure and Milpro inflatable boats of the world famous Zodiac name, Sunstream boatlifts and marine propulsion options and commercial boats from Mercury Marine.
The company is committed towards winning people’s hearts and minds to the yachting lifestyle in a nascent market by providing complete boating solutions. Services provided include help in choosing the right product, handling the import, commissioning the boat, warranty service and various options in maintenance backup and boat management.
Marine Solutions has sales and service offices in Bombay, Goa and Calcutta; engine workshop in Cotton Green, Bombay; and boat yard in Mora, 15 minutes by speed boat from Bombay. We also offer our clients exclusive service at the Panjim Yacht Station in Goa and at moorings off the Gateway of India in Bombay.
